I became a postpartum doula because I needed one myself.
My own postpartum experience was harder than I expected. A difficult physical recovery, a breastfeeding journey that ended sooner than I planned, and a season of postpartum depression I didn't even recognize until I finally sought help.
What helped me through it was finally asking for support, including hiring a postpartum doula of my own. It changed everything.
That experience is why I do this work. Nobody should navigate those early weeks alone. I can help meet your family's needs, whatever they may be.
Outside of supporting families, I have spent the last 20 years working as a licensed veterinary technician in emergency and specialty hospitals. At home in Haddon Township, I live with my family of three, and in my free time I am a hobby horticulturalist and quilter.
As a parent, I also have personal experience with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, babywearing, and cloth diapering. I am a DONA International certified postpartum doula, and I bring both professional training and lived experience to every family I support.
